Robert De Niro to Star opposite John Travolta in ‘Killing Season’

Robert De Niro the Hollywood veteran actor has been confirmed to star opposite John Travolta in the forthcoming action thriller flick ‘Killing Season’.

The ‘Taxi Driver’ star Robert De Niro has been set to join the cast of the upcoming action movie ‘Killing Season’ and will cast opposite ‘Face Off’ star John Travolta. Before Robert was confirmed, Nicolas Cage was tapped to star opposite Travolta in the movie. This means, Robert De Niro has replaced Nicolas Cage in the movie. The movie was earlier titled with ‘Shrapnel’.

Millenium Films has announced on Saturday, October 29, 2011 that, De Niro will join John Travolta and will star opposite and the production will start from January 16, 2012. Steven Johnson of ‘Ghost Rider’ has reportedly been set to direct the movie, while Evan Daugherty of ‘Snow White and the Huntsman’ will be the screen writer of the movie ‘Killing Season’. Robert plays the role of a veteran military, while Travolta will don the character of European tourist.

The story of the ‘Killing Season’ follows an American military veteran living in a remote cabin located in the woods. He makes an unlikely friendship with a European tourist, who meets him on a sudden visit. However, the things take turn, after the veteran learns that, the European tourist is a Serbian soldier and has come for revenge. As a result, both take on one-on-one at the grueling Appalachian mountain. Millenium will distribute the movie along with Corsan.
