‘Glee’ star Charice father found dead in Philippines

‘Glee’ star Charice struck with tragic news of her father’s death on Tuesday. It was uncovered that the father of the international singing sensation, who plays Sunshine Corazon on ‘Glee’ has been stabbed to death with an ice pick in a drunken street fight in her hometown just south of Manila. However, she has been estranged from her father, but the 19-year-old singer still grieved his sudden death.

Charice tweeted on Twitter saying ‘I loved him and I will still love him. He’s still my Dad after all’. She remembered that she and her father had been close until hre parents separated when she was a young child. She announced that she has pulled out of David Foster and Friends concerts in Singapore. She tweeted saying sorry to all her fans from Singapore and she is not going to be there to be part of concert. She added that she have to go back to Philippines as soon as possible to be with her family and hopes that all will understand her.

Charice father, Ricky Pempengco died of stab wounds in his back and chest on 31st October, Monday. As per Gilbert Cruz, the Police Senior Supt. , the construction worker was at a store in San Pedro township when he accidentally bumped into a drunk man who was later identified as Angel Capili Jr. and from there they got into a fight.

Philippine National Police told that San Pedro, Laguna Police has arrested Angel Capili during a follow-up operation hours after the incident. They added that the personal grudge might be the motive behind the killing. Cruz claimed that investigation showed no old grudges exists between the two.
