Ralph Fiennes has been alleged to play the role of Blofeld in the forthcoming ‘James Bond 23’ movie ‘Skyfall’, but refused to answer the rumors.
The Oscar nominated actor Ralph Fiennes, has been rumored to play the character of Ernst Stavros Blofeld, the old nemesis of James Bond in the forthcoming movie ‘Skyfall’, which was ‘James Bond 23’ before it got the title. However, the 48-year-old actor denied to answer the rumors of his role in the movie and played coy over his role. He explained that, his involvement in the next ‘Bond’ movie was due to the screen writer John Logan, who wrote the character very interestingly and is quite a fun.
Earlier in September Logan has hinted that, the character of Blofeld might return in the latest version of the Bond movie. He revealed that, the super villain may appear for the first time in the series acted by Daniel Craig in the role of James Bond 007. The role of Blofeld was lastly shown in the movie ‘Never Say Never Again’ in the year 1983 played by Max von Sydow. Besides the role of Blofeld, the project has reportedly added two actresses more to its cast ensemble along with Judi Dench, Javier Bardem, Naomie Harris, Albert Finney and Berenice Marlohe.
The reports suggested that, Helen McCrory and Ola Rapace have been signed to join Daniel Craig in the upcoming 23 version of the British agent movie franchise. But, the roles of the added stars have not been revealed. The movie ‘Skyfall’ follows the loyalty of Bond to M, as MI6 gets under attack and Bond 007 must track down and destroy the threat. The movie is directed by Sam Mendes and has been slated for UK release on October 26, 2012 and on November 9, 2012 in the United States.
