The pre-show performers, presenters and nominees who served at 2011 American Music Awards, Hot Chelle Rae were on cloud nine after they won the Sprint New Artist of the Year. The group nabbed the honour who are behind ‘Tonight, Tonight’ and ‘I Like it Like That’.
The Hot Chelle Rae team, Ryan Follese (vocals), Ian Keaggy (bass), Nash Overstreet (guitar) and Jamie Follese (drums) told about the possibility of bringing home a new piece of hardware during the November 20 ceremony. Nash told that it they win the award tonight for the best new artist, they are gonna freak out. Ryan told that it would definitely be the biggest milestone of their career. He also added that he might have to give it to his parents as a Christmas present. He further told that it is definitely the biggest accomplishment for them as a band and it shows their hard work is paying off.
Besides, Hot Chelle Rae is set to release their second album ‘Whatever’ on 29th November that came together in a shocking two months. Ryan told that the last year has been crazy and because of that all the emotions have been heightened that is is enabled them to write and record music from a place that is different for them. Ian told that they cannot go wrong with Teenage Dream. Speaking about Katy Perry’s record shattering album, they even cover one of her sets when they play live. He confessed that he had live to have written ‘Party Rock Anthem’.
