George Michael hospitalized – cancels shows

Singer George Micheal has been hospitalized with pneumonia. So, he has to cancel a number of shows in Europe this week. The confirmation has been given by George’s publicist Connie Filippello that he was diagnosed with pneumonia. He added that Michael is currently receiving treatment.

However, Connie Filippello has not elaborated on where and when George had contracted the illness, but he said that he is on the mend. As per the recent reports, the 48-year-old Michael is treated at Vienna’s AKH hospital. Michael has cancelled his planned concert in the Austrian capital just two hours before it was due to start.

Besides cancelling the shows in Austrian capital, he also misses the shows those are to be held in Strasbourg, Cardiff, Wales and France. A month ago, George also skipped a concert in London but it has been rescheduled to 2nd May, 2012. He told that he is back in spasm and a splitting headache as the reasons of cancelling.
