Robin Gibb has revealed about his emergency surgery, after doctors told him about one hour to live, due to his liver cancer.
The ‘Bee Gees’ member Robin Gibb has revealed the details of his emergency surgery, after he was diagnosed with liver cancer. During an interview, he also revealed that, he was told he had got one hour to live, after he met a doctor about his stomach cramps. The doctor told him that, he had one hour to live, if he did not undergo a surgery immediately. He was petrified on hearing that, as he had never been in hospital.
The 61-year-old pop singer also recalled of that time saying, he told surgeon that, he has got only cramp. But, he actually got an intestinal blockage which could burst. He added, the doctor said to him bluntly saying, the only way out for him is through the operating theater. However, he eventually had the operation immediately, which he felt better after three days. He went on saying that, he though it as wind cramps, but the blockage was so bad that, it did not burst the day before, which was too dangerous to be delayed.
He further explained that, the relief was enormous, which he was in no need of painkillers or aspirin at least. He takes a vegetarian diet and a great appetite, which seems everything normal. The news of Gibb battling the liver cancer surfaced, after he stayed at a hospital recently, due to abdominal pain and an inflamed colon. However, he cleared that, he is recovering after the surgery and thanked his family, friends and the fans for their support and prayers, who wished for his health recovery.
