The Twilight Saga Breaking Dawn Part I has achieved another milestone to the franchise. Breaking Dawn Part 1 is less than two weeks after being released worldwide. However, the Summit Entertainment has announced that the vampire-human love story movie has grossed $508 million on Monday where surpassing the $500 million mark on worldwide box office in merely 12 days.
After receiving success globally, the Bill Condon directed movie has made a huge accomplishment domestically. The movie has grossed about $223 from the ticket sales in North America and there by placing it on the top 12 movies which reach $220 million in 10 days. The Summit’s co-chairmen, Patrick Wachsberger and Rob Friedman has told that they could not be more pleased with the success of this film and a franchise that the fans have continued to support over the past several years.
Rob and Patrick told thanks to everyone who is all involved with the films from the actors, filmmakers and Stephenie Meyer to the most important group of all, the global fan base that continues to drive a desire fro more Edward, Bella and Jacob. However, the first instalment ‘Twilight’ has grossed about $192 million domestically and $190 million on foreign side in 2008. ‘Twilight Saga New Moon’ has collected about $296 million domestically and $396 million worldwide in 2009. And, ‘Twilight Saga: Eclipse’ has generated $300 million domestically and $373 million internationally in 2010.
