‘The Expendables II’ first teaser trailer debuts

The first teaser trailer of the highly anticipated star studded action film ‘The Expendables II’ has been debuted through the courtesy of Apple. ‘The Expendables 2’ sneak peek opens with Bruce Willis’ Mr. Church and reminding his old pal Sylvester Stallone’s Barney Ross that he owes him a favour. Church tells Ross that he knew that one day would come when he will be going to pay him back and today is that day.

However, ‘The Expendables 2’ teaser doesn’t spoil any action scenes yet, but it does give a quick glimpse at the all-star cast-members. The highlighted stars before Arnold Schwarzenegger closes it with a bang are Jason Statham, Chuck Norris, Randy Couture, Jean-Claude Van Damme, Jet Li, Dolph Lundgren, Terry Crews, Liam Hemsworth.

The gang of the Expendables are reunited as Mr. Church enlists them to take on a seemingly simple job. However, the task looks like an easy pay-check for Barney and his band of old-school mercenaries. However, when the things go wrong and one of their own is viciously killed, the Expendables are compelled to seek revenge in hostile territory where the odds are stacked against them.

The crew then cuts a swath of destruction through opposing team, then wreaking havoc and shutting down an unexpected threat in the nick of time, six pounds of weapons-grade plutonium which is enough to change the balance of power in the world.

Simon West is taking up the helming duty for the sequel of 2010’s ‘The Expendables’. Besides starring in the action film, Sylvester Stallone also co-writes the script along with David Agosto, Richard Wenk and Ken Kaufman. ‘The Expendables 2’ is set to be released in theatres on 17th August, 2012.
