Lady GaGa has been named as the AP Entertainer of the Year, after the music fans and critics gave her the same recognition for past year.
The ‘Mother Monster’ Lady GaGa, who had an eventful year in 2011, has been named as the AP Entertainer of the Year by the fans and critics, due to her influence on entertainment and culture in the year 2011. The Associated Press has named her with the title. She made record-breaking sales with her album ‘Born This Way’, which was followed by an extravagant leg of ‘Monster Ball’ tour, which took several coveted awards including three Grammy Awards.
The ‘Judas’ singer on being named as ‘AP Entertainer of the Year’ said that, she is humbled to be named with the title by The Associated Press and went on adding that, she had deep gratitude to the broadcasters and journalists, who have been supporting her over the years and in turn, her fans are supporting the loves of her life. GaGa took the title that was given last year to Betty White, as she was everywhere which includes her grace on small screen with her own Thanksgiving TV Special.
The 25-year-old ‘Poker Face’ hit maker overtook the late Apple founder Steve Jobs by three votes, from a total of 135 ballots that were submitted by the United States news organizations that make the AP’s membership. Besides Lady GaGa, the other recipients of the numerous votes from the AP members include Charlie Sheen, cast of ‘Harry Potter’ film series, Taylor Swift and Adele this year. Lets’ congratulate Lady GaGa for winning the title ‘AP Entertainer of the Year’.
