"Simon Cowell X Factor"The creator of ‘X Factor’, Simon Cowell has said that he probably was too cocky when he initiated the US TV talent show, earlier this year. He boasted that it would overtake his old program; No. 1 rated ‘American Idol’. But being confident by nature, Simon pledged that the two-part ‘X Factor’ finale this week will be worth watching and any of the three finalists is worthy of the unprecedented prize of a $5 million recording contract.

Simon Cowell told that Justin Bieber, the rapper Pitbull and the R&B singer Ne-Yo will be performing on Thursday’s finale, before revealing the winner of the first season. Simon had reasons for the boast as the ‘X Factor’ has been the most popular TV show in Britain for several years and winners have generally gone straight to the top of the pop music charts.

The ‘X Factor’ was launched in the United States in September, after months of hype from Simon. But the show has underperformed Cowell’s expectations. Although it has been a hit for broadcaster Fox drawing about 12 million viewers weekly but its audience is less than half that of ‘American Idol’, which returns to Fox in January.

Simon said that he think he probably came there a little too cocky but, he had come off the back of a massive hit in the U.K. He added that the three finalists and they will bring the greatest final they have ever been in for the $5 million talent here.

The three finalists namely the 19-year-old Ballad singer Melanie Amaro, the 30-year-old Josh Krajcik and the 28-year-old rapper Chris Rene will be giving their final performance and are looking forward to claim the ‘X-Factor’ big prize. Cowell said each finalist would sing a duet with a surprise superstar as part of Wednesday’s competition and the winner will be chosen by public vote and announced after a two-hour finale on 22nd December.
