"Justin Bieber, Lea Michelle for Libby Awards 2011"Justin Bieber and Lea Michelle are racing to win the top honor at the forthcoming PETA Libby Awards 2011.

The 17-year-old ‘Baby’ hit maker Justin Bieber and ‘Glee’ star Lea Michele are vying to win the top award at Libby Awards 2011. The upcoming awards would be the 6th Annual Libby Awards, which are sponsored by Peta 2, a youth division of PETA. The 25-year-old actress Lea who stood up for carriage horses in New York City, won the nomination for ‘Top Animal Friendly Celebrity’. She will be competing with Steve-O of ‘Jackass’ Daniella Monet of ‘Victorious’ and Gabe Saporta of ‘Cobra Starship’ for the award.

Meanwhile, the teen YouTube sensation Justin Bieber is racing to win the award for ‘Most Animal Friendly Pop/Hip-Hop Artist’. He will be vying with Ke$ha, who campaigned against the Canadian seal slaughter, Waka Flocka Flame and K-os for the award. However, Bieber and Michelle will be competing with each other for one award, where as Ke$ha and Tokio Hotel won two nominations. Ke$ha also competes for ‘Best Peta 2 Ad’ award with Tokio as one of the competitors. Tokio will also be vying for ‘Most Animal Friendly Band’ award.

In order to pick the winner, the fans could vote for their favorite stars at peta2.com, until Friday, December 23, 2011. The winners will be announced on January 17, 2012, based on the three factors like the number of votes received, feedback from the nominees’ fans and the quality of the animal-friendly product or the nominees’ enthusiasm for being animal-friendly.
