The ‘Rise of the Planet of the Apes’ sequel is likely to have speaking apes. The sequel might feature apes which are able to talk. This was hinted by the screenwriter Amanda Silver and Rick Jaffa hinted at a possibility to make Caesar and co. speak in the anticipated movie.
Amanda Silver told that they are working on the sequel right now, to the prequel and the excitement is too much and he will not be telling whether they are going to talk or not. Silver teased that as part of the challenge was how to get across what was happening among the apes without words, in the end he think it was a good challenge for them and also it created better storytelling.
However, the helming duties will be taken by the director Rupert Wyatt and will be returning for the ‘Rise of the Planet of the Apes Sequel’. Meanwhile, Andy Serkis is set to reprise his role as the Apes’ leader, Caesar. Currently, the sequel project is in the early stage and still hasn’t got any idea on the release date of the movie.
During an interview in the month of August, Rupert said about his sequel plans that there is so much they could do and the ideas that he had are all sorts of things, ranging from Fill Metal Jacket with apes. He said that we could start this story eight years from where he left off, the next generation of the apes.
But first, the ‘Rise of the Planet of the Apes’ is yet to be screened world wide on 5th August. This will be serving as a prequel to 1968’s film ‘Planet of the Apes’. The story is that the Apes’ leader Caesar is an intelligent chimp which starts a revolution that escalates into a war between humans and apes. The movie has grossed about $479 million in worldwide ticket sale.
