‘Mission: Impossible Ghost Protocol’ tops North American Box Office

Mission Impossible Ghost Protocol tops North American Box OfficeSuccessfully, Mission Impossible 4 has topped the North American Bob Office on this Christmas holiday weekend. Tom Cruise starring action movie, ‘Mission: Impossible Ghost Protocol’ has grabbed an estimated $26.5 million for a total domestic cume of $59 million since its 16th December release date.

A week ago, ‘Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows’ the topper has secured the second place in this week with $17.8 million but has dropped 55.1% of the last week. However, the total cume is about $76.5 million after two weeks playing in cinemas. Next follows the comedy movie ‘Alvin and the Chipmunks: Chip-Wrecked’ that has landed on the third spot and this Mike Mitchell-directed family film has grossed about $13.3 million for a ten-day domestic total of $50.3 million.

Meanwhile, ‘The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo’ has settled with number four on its debut weekend. This movie is the novel-adapted film starring Daniel Craig and Rooney Mara and has an estimated $13 million for a five-day domestic cume of $21.4 million. In the top fifth position, Steven Spielberg’s movie ‘The Adventures of Tintin: The Secret of the Unicorn’ has raked in around $9.1 million in its opening week.
