Gaining a huge success for the ‘Paranormal Activity 3’ in 2011, Paramount Pictures has planned to release its follow-up in 2012. On 2nd January, the studio has issued a press released and has revealed the news that it will unleash ‘Paranormal Activity 4’ this year along with some other potential big movies.
In an announcement, it was said that in 2012, Paramount’s release slate highlights include ‘World War Z’, a zombie thriller starring Brad Pitt and directed by Marc Foster. Later ‘G.I Joe: Retaliation’ is the next instalment in the global franchise starring Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson and Channing Tatum. Plus, a new chapter from the ‘Paranormal Activity’ franchise and ‘The Dictator’ starring Sacha Baron Cohen and directed by Larry Charles, the team behind ‘Borat’. Moreover, the announcement has added that the exact release date for ‘Paranormal Activity 4’ has not been set.
However, the details for the upcoming ‘Paranormal Activity’ movie have been disclosed. In addition to this the Paramount has not confirmed whether Henry Joost and Ariel Schulman will return to the directing seats or not. Also, there are no details disclosed about the screenwriter and the actors for the forthcoming film.
‘Paranormal Activity 3’ has been released on 21st October, 2011. On its opening weekend, the horror film has collected $54 million and it has made the best opening of all time for the horror movie. Globally, it had also successfully grossed a massive $202 despite the fact that it only cost around $5 million to produce.
