Miranda Lambert will join her husband Blake Shelton on U.S. talent show “The Voice” season 2 as a mentor for aspiring singing stars that will premiere February 5 in America after the Super Bowl telecast.
‘The House That Built Me’ singer will provide support for Shelton’s team alongside “American Idol” season 1 winner Kelly Clarkson, while Veteran singer Lionel Richie will join forces with Jewel Kilcher in sharing some tips and advice to Judge Christina Aguilera’s team.
Rounding out the new line-up of The Voice coaches are Alanis Morissette and Robin Thicke, who will work with Maroon 5 hit-maker Adam Levine, and Ne-Yo and Kenny ‘Babyface’ Edmonds, who will back Cee-Lo Green in nurturing some talents during the competition round.
The upcoming season 2 of the singing competition has been picked up by a series of international TV networks! The mentor match-ups, which were revealed on Friday (06 Jan12), provide further insight into the friendship between Kelly Clarkson and Blake Shelton. All three artists rang in the New Year jointly at the country couple’s home in Oklahoma, as did Levine and his super-model girlfriend Anne Vyalitsyna.
Adam Blackstone, Reba McEntire, Sia and Monica served as visitor mentors on the show’s opening season. Javier Colon, from Adam Levine’s side, won the first season of the series, which was modified from the Dutch TV program “The Voice of Holland.”
