Jennifer Lawrence will help unveil the 2012 Oscar Academy Awards nominees. The Awards will be presented on Sunday, February 26, 2012 at Kodak Theatre in Hollywood & Highland Center.
The 21-year-old actress will join ‘Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences President’ Tom Sherak at the nominations declaration on Jan. 24. She was nominated for Best Actress in 2011 for her role in “Winter’s Bone”, has been selected by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences as the nod presenter for this year’s award show along with Tom Sherak.
The actress playing Katniss in “The Hunger Games” movie and the Academy President will unveil the nods in ten of the 24 categories. The declaration itself will take place on Tuesday, Jan. 24, 2012 at 5.30 A.M. PT during a news conference that will be seized at the Academy’s Samuel Goldwyn Theater in Beverly Hills.
Last season, it was Mo’Nique, the “Precious: Based on the Novel PUSH by Sapphire” star and winner of 2009 Best Supporting Actress, who undertaken the duty in reading the Oscar nominees. A year earlier, the honor went to “The Dark Knight Rises” beauty Anne Hathaway.
Honoring the outstanding movie achievements of 2011 year, this year’s Academy Awards will be presented at the Kodak Theatre in Hollywood. Hosted by veteran Oscar host Billy Crystal, the event will be broadcast live by the ABC Television Network in more than 225 countries world-wide.
