Hollywood stars Brad Pitt and Angelina meeting with President Barack Obama in the Oval Office on Wednesday (Jan. 11). The couple was in town to screen Angie’s “In the Land of Blood and Honey” new movie.
Angelina and Brad are making the best out of their Washington, D.C. visit. In town to attend a viewing of Jolie’s directorial debut new film “In the Land of Blood and Honey”, the powerhouse pair set aside time to meet with President Barack Obama at the White House. They were spotted on camera walking around and taking pictures at the Oval Office on Wednesday.
The “Mr and Mrs Smith” co-stars got some time with the Obama before he was set to depart for Chicago. According to the sources, the couple were invited – so that Angie can chat with the president about her work on preventing mass atrocities and combating sexual aggression against women.
During the White House visit, Brad was caught sporting a cane because of a skiing injury problem. This was not the first time Brad made a visit to the White House though. Back in 2009 year, the “Moneyball” star-actor met with the President to talk about his plans in rebuilding New Orleans’ Ninth Ward after Hurricane Katrina.
Sally Quinn and Ben Bradlee stand close and talking with a pal, also the White House spokesman Jay Carney and his wife, Claire Shipman, bend against a brick wall, maybe making the most of valuable time together. Former Bush Homeland Security chief Michael Chertoff and his wife, Meryl, give mini reviews of the movie.
The night before, Brad and Angie attended a screening of her Bosnian war crimes movie at the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum. “In the Land of Blood and Honey” film apparently cost $10m, a drop in the bucket of modern film-making.
