Adele and Jessie J Tops BRIT Awards 2012 Nominations

Adele and Jessie J have topped the BRIT Awards 2012 nominations, after they have bagged multiple nods for the awards.

The 23-year-old English singers Adele and Jessie J has dominated the BRIT Awards 2012 nominations and emerged as the toppers of the list, after they won multiple nominations. The ‘21’ and ‘Price Tag’ singers have clinched three nominations each and will be vying for the award in two of three categories in ‘British Female Solo Artist’ and ‘British Single’. Coincidently, both the beautiful singers had a fruitful year in 2011.

In the category of ‘British Female Solo Artist’, both the singers will be competing with the likes of Florence and the Machine, Kate Bush and Laura Marling, while for the latter award they will be facing JLS the popular British boybands, The Wanted and One Direction. Meanwhile, Adele won the third nomination for ‘British Album of the Year’ for which she will be vying with the competitors like Coldplay, PJ Harvey, Florence and Ed Sheeran.

On the other hand, ‘Who you Are’ singer won her third nod for ‘British Breakthrough Act’ and would be battling with Ed, Emeli Sande, Anna Calvi and The Vaccines. As for the International category of ‘Female Solo Artist’, Beyonce, Lady GaGa, Rihanna, Feist and Bjork will face each other. For ‘Best Group’ award the likes of Fleet Foxes, Maroon 5, Jay-Z, Kanye West, Lady Antebellum and Foo Fighters will be competing among themselves. The forthcoming BRIT Awards 2012 winners will receive their trophies in a star-studded event on February 21, 2012, more than a week after Grammy Awards.
