’American Idol’ season 11 has kicked off, with its auditions at Savannah, which turned out to be one of the best starts the show has ever had.
The ‘American Idol’ has come back for its season 11 with all the famous judges Jennifer Lopez, Steven Tyler and Randy Jackson along with host Ryan Seacrest. The ‘American Idol’ season 11 was premiered on Wednesday, January 18, 2012, where the show has found the boy, who beat Scotty McCreery the winner of last season. David Leathers Jr. beat Scotty in a local competition in the year 2009 and blew up all the judges with his rendition ‘Remember the Rain’ in the Savannah auditions.
The judging panel of the show felt like seeming like a young Michael Jackson. This made them to ask him to do a number from the late King of Pop. All the three judges gave ‘Yes’ to the 17-year-old boy from North Carolina, after he performed ‘Never Can Say Goodbye’. Another impressive performance of the show was by Gabi Carrubba, who seemed excited to join the audition. She also hugged producer Nigel Lythgoe, before performing a soft cover ‘Sunday Morning’ of Maroon 5.
The 24-year-old Amy Brumfield, an unemployed who lives in a tent in woods proved that she could sing and she was given the ticket to Hollywood. She was joined by Lauren Mink, Schyler Dixon and brother Colton, Phillip Phillips and Stephanie Renae. There have also been some bad performances by Joshua Chavis, Jessica Whitely and Mawuena Kodjo who were rejected at the Savannah auditions of ‘American Idol’ season 11.
