Annie Awards 2012 winners have been announced, with ‘Rango’, ‘Kung Fu panda 2’ and ‘Tintin’ movies emerging as the major winners at Annie Awards 2012.
The Annie Awards 2012 winners have been announced on Saturday, February 4, 2012. Johnny Depp starrer ‘Rango’ emerged as the biggest winner, while ‘The Adventures of Tintin: The Secret of the Unicorn’ being the other movies who bagged the awards. ‘Rango’ bagged four awards including the ‘Best Animated Feature’ along with ‘Editing in a Feature Production’, ‘Writing in a Feature Production’ and ‘Character Design in a Feature Production’.
However, ‘Rango’ lost the Best Director award to ‘Kung Fu Panda 2: Secret of Masters’ director Jennifer Yuh Nelson, which also won ‘Best Animated Special Production’ and ‘Production Design in Feature Production’, while ‘The Adventures of Tintin: The Secret of the Unicorn’ bagged the awards for ‘Animated Effects in an Animated Production’ and ‘Music in a Feature Production’ to John Williams.
Other winners among the Annie Awards 2012 include ‘Rio’, ‘The Rise of the Planet of the Apes’, and ‘Transformers: Dark of the Moon’. ‘Rio’ bagged the ‘Character Animation in a Feature Production’ award, while ‘Transformers 3’ won ‘Animated Effects in a Live Action Production’ and ‘Rise of the Planet of the Apes’ won ‘Character Animation in a Live Action Production’.
