"Annual Comedy Awards 2012 Nominations"Annual Comedy Awards 2012 nominations have been announced, in recognition of the best comedy offered in TV and films over the last year.

The 2nd Annual Comedy Awards announced the nominations for Annual Comedy Awards 2012 on Tuesday, March 6, 2012. The event is produced by Viacom that will be taped on Saturday, April 28, 2012 at Hammerstein Ballroom in New York City and will be aired on Comedy Central on May 6, 2012. The Annual Comedy Awards 2012 nominations have been topped by ‘Modern Family’, ’30 Rock’, ‘Bridesmaids’ and ‘Crazy, Stupid Love’ with five nominations each.

Besides, a new category ‘Best Club Comedy’ has been included this year, which recognizes the best stand-up comedians who do not play large theaters and do not have regular roles on a TV series. The nominees of that category include Ted Alexandro, Pete Holmes, Moshe Kasher, Hannibal Buress, Rory Scovel, Chelsea Peretti, John Mulaney, Amy Schumer, Kumail Nanjiani and Anthony Jeselnik. The winners of 2nd Annual Comedy Awards 2012 are picked by a voting body of comedians, journalists, managers, other comedy insiders and producers.
