Josh Hutcherson and Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson seems to be getting reunited, for the forthcoming under work ‘Journey 3’.
The third installment of ‘Journey’ film series is allegedly under work, which could possibly set for the reunion of Josh Hutcherson and Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson who have appeared in the recently released movie ‘Journey 2: The Mysterious Island’. New Line Cinema confirmed the sequel that will also mark the return of Brad Peyton as the director along with screenwriters Mark and Brian Gunn.
Beau Flynn the producer of the movie revealed that, Josh Hutcherson and Dwayne Johnson would return to the third film to reprise their roles as Sean and Hank respectively, though the deals for other returning cast have been locked. The reports also suggested that, the script of the ‘Journey 3’ has already been under work for past three weeks and the movie has been expected for the US release in 2014.
The upcoming ‘Journey 3’ is reportedly planned on the book ‘From the Earth to the Moon’ written by Jules Verne, in which the character of Michael Caine is transferred to Sean and Hank at the end of the ‘Journey 2: The Mysterious Island’. The ‘Journey 2’ was released on February 10, 2012 and since then it passed the $242 million gross mark that was collected by ‘Journey to the Center of the Earth 3D’ in the year 2008. It has so far grossed $275 million globally with a total gross of $513 million by the franchise worldwide.
