Hair Icon Vidal Sassoon Dead in Los Angeles Home

Vidal Sassoon ‘Famed hair stylist and fashion icon’ has died at age 84 at his Mulholland Drive home in Los Angeles, due to an “unspecified illness”, according to the sources.
Celebrated hairstylist was born to a Jewish family in London in 1928, a name eternally linked with hair, often referred to as the “founder of hairdressing,” was found dead in his home. His clan members were by his side when he passed away. Sassoon was reported last season to be fighting leukemia, after being detected with ‘Blood Cancer’ in the year 2009.
Sassoon, who started out his career as a shampoo boy at age 14, went on to open his first London salon in 1954 and gave ‘Mia Farrow’ her celebrated short cut for Rosemary’s Baby in 1967. He’s recognized with inventing a unique type of angular, low-maintenance cut that became his brand name in swinging London during the mid-sixties.
Vidal Sassoon was married four times, and had four kids with his second wife, actress Beverly Adams: two daughters Catya (who died after a drug overeat in 2002 year), and Eden, and sons Elan & David. In 1992 he married Rhonda, his fourth wife, who has been depicted as his “rock” through his recent illnesses.
