Hollywood’s hottest young actresses, Kristen Stewart and Jennifer Lawrence, are fighting again the same role in an indie film “Lie Down in Darkness” of Peyton Loftis in an adaptation of William Styron’s edgy first novel.
The two women are aggressively vying for the same role after the stark departure from their “Twilight” and “Hunger Games” franchises. Stewart and Lawrence see this role as a chance for an Oscar.
According to the sources – It is very strange for two actresses to be so vocal in lobbying for a character, and even more curious that they are the two hottest young actresses of the moment. The movie ‘Lie Down in Darkness’ follows a psychologically helpless young woman, who is preyed upon by her father in 1950s Virginia. “Crazy Heart” rising star Scott Cooper is directing the film, which will not start production until next year.
In the June issue of Elle – Stewart told that, she wants to play Peyton more than anything she can possible taste or touch in his life, and she want to play her so bad.
On the other hand – Lawrence’s pitch, the Hunger Games star and 2011 Oscar nominee dished W: She obsessed with that role. She has this feeling of protectiveness over characters she want to play … If someone else gets the role, she’s afraid they won’t do it correct. She’s trying to write the director … to convince him that she should be in his film.
