‘The Dark Knight Rises’ Tops for Third Week on US Box Office

“The Dark Knight Rises” topped the US (North American) box office for the third week in a row at number one, making $36.4 million this past weekend. The Batman movie by Christian Bale has collects its domestic total to $354.1 million since it was released on July 20.
The Len Wiseman-directed remake movie “Total Recall,” which stars Colin Farrell, opened at number two position with first weekend takings of $26 million, which completes Sony Pictures’ $25 – $30 million expectation.
The third installment of the “Wimpy Kid” film franchise “Diary of a Wimpy Kid: Dog Days” debuted at number three place on the North American box office with ticket sales around $14.7 million domestically.
Meanwhile, The Ted’s movie total earnings have crossed the $200 million spot, while “The Amazing Spider-Man” has hit $250 million domestic sales. Check out the Top Ten Movies at US box office as follows:
