Jennifer Lawrence, who has broken box office records with “The Hunger Games” this year, to cast in the dramatic film “The Ends of the Earth,” based on real romantic events to be acquired by The Weinstein Company.
Jennifer Lawrence is now one of the most popular actresses in Hollywood, after losing a role in “Lie Down in Darkness” from Kristen Stewart – the “Winter’s Bone” actress has now secured another leading lady character in “The Ends of the Earth.”
According to the sources – the film is based on the true story of a romance between an oil baron Ernest and his adopted daughter Lydie Marland. Written by “Argo” scribe Chris Terrino, the story centers on the love affair between Ernest and Lydie, which later razes the business they have built together. Jennifer is cast as Lydie, who is depicted as a skilled yet stubborn woman.
Being adopted by Ernest and his spouse Virginia, Lydie soon ends up becoming Ernest’s wife following their affair. She urges the oil baron to raise workers’ wages and give them simple contact to medical care. She also gets the nickname “princess of the prairies” for her events.
On the other hand, the movie is still hasn’t found a director, while the producing task will be tackled by Todd Black, Jason Blumenthal and Steve Tisch. The movie “The End of the Earth” is expected to start the production in the summer of 2013.
