The ‘James Bond’ Daniel Craig will appear in Broadway Betrayal along with Rachel Weisz and Rafe Spall. This production will mark the Broadway debut for both Weisz and Spall and is scheduled to begin previews at the Ethel Barrymore Theatre on October 1, 2013 in anticipation of a November 3 opening date.
The usually reserved pair will appear in Harold Pinter’s play, Betrayal, which is about a married couple who are unfaithful to each other.
The play, which is set to be directed by Mike Nichols, will be Weisz’s Broadway debut. She will take the lead female role of Emma, who is having an affair with Jerry, played by Rafe Spall.
Craig will play Robert, who is married to Emma. He previously starred in Broadway production A Steady Rain alongside Hugh Jackman.
Betrayal is scheduled to play a 14-week engagement in New York with a projected closing date of January 5, 2014.
The Bond, Daniel Craig also planning to sign two more films in the spy series after the blockbuster hit SkyFall.
