American Idol Season 13: Jennifer Lopez says she is open to reprising her Television role of a judge on 2013 American Idol but isn’t sure what has been decided. Following reports that the show’s producers wanted the Latina singer to assume the role of an “Idol” judge again, a source now tells E! News, “It’s not happening.”
On the Floor singer J.Lo herself didn’t promptly shut down the speculations when she was asked about the matter. “I don’t know what’s happening over there,” The Singer-actress said on Monday, June 10 on “On Air with Ryan Seacrest”. “I don’t know. We will see. I’m always open to the infinite possibilities that the universe has to offer. So you never know.”
Rumors about who will be the new judges in “American Idol” season 13 had started floating around even before Mariah Carey and Nicki Minaj confirmed their exits, following the footsteps of longtime judge Randy Jackson. Keith Urban’s future is still unclear as the country music star said back in May, “I have no official information of anything.”
Meanwhile, former “Idol” finalist Jennifer Hudson was informed to have signed up to be a judge in the upcoming 13th season. Per Blankens has been tapped as the new executive producer for the show, replacing longtime executive producers Nigel Lythgoe and Ken Warwick.
